Kenworth is a global technology leader in the design, manufacture and customer support of high-quality light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks
Challenge
Having installed a new robotic assembly line, Kenworth had created a bottleneck in accessing one side of the facility from the other. These were causing downtime and inefficiencies.
Fixing the constraint
Heighton assessed the site to determine the best methodology, given it was operational without the ability to cease production during the construction. These required a 3D scan of the facility and careful detailing of GA drawings to ensure the project would not interrupt while the installation was ongoing.
Implementation
All work was complete as planned and on time without disruption to operations. Kenworth have increased efficiencies and now have the advantage of showcasing the production line to potential clients from a birds eye view.
